A Little Look Behind the Scenes…
Preparing the First Offering for the Shelves.
Hello friends!
Over the past few days, I’ve been nestled at my desk — candle glowing, ideas flowing, and my grand-dog Cora curled up in her bed beside me, snoring lightly.
December has a way of tugging us toward more… but as I’ve been creating, I’ve tried to stay anchored in less.
Less noise.
Less rush.
More calm.
More breath.
More tiny moments that feel joyful.
And because The Pause Shop is slowly coming to life, today felt like the right moment to share a wee peek behind the scenes - a glimpse at how this first offering is finding its place.
In my mind, it rests in a small hearth corner of the shop — the kind lit only by the soft glow of candles. A stone fireplace warms the air just enough, and above it sits a simple wooden mantel. A sprig of winter greens leans casually in a pottery jar, as if it wandered in from outside. It’s quiet here… peaceful… almost sacred.
This is where the very first offering of The Pause Shop will settle, waiting to be discovered.
One of my favorite parts of creating it has been shaping the small daily invitations — those tender moments that help December feel softer and a little more spacious.
Here’s a tiny snippet (just a whisper):
“Candle Hour - Turn Off Screens and Light a Candle. Sit in the Soft Glow for Five Minutes.”
It’s only one small moment, but it’s the kind of pause that can shift how December feels - softening the edges, opening room for presence, and weaving a little more calm through the season.
I’m excited to share more with you soon…
just a few more touches behind the scenes before everything is ready.
More peeks coming tomorrow.

This is so sweet. Dogs are the best.
