Day 23: Sacred Traditions Advent Calendar
Create your holiday tablescape.
Hello friends,
Looking for quick, easy and inexpensive ways to bring a touch of enchantment to your holiday table? Try these ideas to create a festive and memorable setting:
This tablescape photo was taken from one of my Cultivate Your Christmas Calm events.
Start with Your Tablecloth
Choose a favorite white, red or festive holiday cloth to set the foundation for your table. If you’re going for a simpler option, pick up a roll of craft paper from the dollar store. It’s an easy, stress-free choice—no ironing needed—and you can simply recycle it when the celebration is over.
Add a Magical Centerpiece
In the photo from my Cultivate Your Christmas Calm event, I used real evergreens beautifully arranged in long wooden trays crafted by my husband. For an equally stunning effect, you can run an artificial garland down the center of your table. It’s just as lovely and effortlessly brings a festive, magical vibe to your setting. String tiny fairy lights along the center of your garland for a warm, magical glow.
For a more delicate touch, consider adding sprigs of evergreens to small bottles, vases, or even glasses. Space them evenly down the table for a charming, minimalist centerpiece that feels fresh and intentional. And don’t forget the candles!
Personalize with Handmade Placemats
One of my favorite ways to make a table feel special is by creating custom placemats. They’re easy to make and add a meaningful, creative touch. Personalize them with designs, quotes, or messages that reflect your family’s traditions and style.
If you’re short on time or not into crafting, I’ve included a few ready-made placemat designs from past gatherings that you can print and use. These add instant charm while keeping things simple and stress-free.
Add Personal Touches
Handwritten notes or name cards at each setting add warmth and thoughtfulness, making guests feel truly special. For a simple touch, place an evergreen sprig or pinecone on the napkin. These small details create a welcoming table and magical holiday memories!
Your holiday table is more than just a place to gather—it's a canvas for creating memories. Whether you choose to keep it simple or go all out, the thought and care you put into your tablescape will make your guests feel cherished. So, set the stage, light the candles, and let the magic of the season unfold around your beautifully crafted table."
"A beautiful table isn’t just about decorations; it’s about setting the stage for love, laughter, and connection." Unknown

Those fresh BC greens look a bit better than the ones I've had for 4 weeks, 😂. They are never quite the same here.
