Tomorrow, November 11th, we honour the brave women and men who served, and continue to serve our country, in times of war, conflict, and peace.
My dad served for 51 months in the R.C.A.F. as a Bandman (member of the military band).
I am lucky enough to have most of his military records which state that he obtained 2nd highest proficiency grouping in that trade. He embarked to the United Kingdom January 9, 1945 and disembarked from the United Kingdom February 20, 1946 (13 months service in the U.K. and continent).
