That's so interesting, Kathy - I've been reflecting too on how my mom and grandmother influenced my creativity as well. My grandma was a watercolour artist, and she kept a gallery of floral paintings on her living room wall, although I don't remember actually seeing her paint, as I believe she had stopped by the time us kids were around. I know my mom said she had a job once painting florals onto teacups, but wish I knew more!
I can so vividly see my Grandma's painting - it was so bright and cheery. My Grandma also read tea leaves and I have an astrological reading she had done for my mom when she was around 5 years old. My mom will be 99 next week, so the reading was done about 94 years ago. I have it in my keepsakes. It's all hand-written. Oh, if only you could have one of your grandma's floral painted teacups. How precious would that be?
