Surprise & Delight: Week 5
Wrapping up April: Reflections on Surprise & Delight.
Hello friends,
As April draws to a close, I hope you’re carrying a few extra moments of joy tucked into your heart — the kind that caught you off guard, made you smile unexpectedly, or reminded you that delight doesn’t have to be big to be meaningful.
This month, we gave ourselves permission to wander, to play, to make, to offer surprise and receive it too. It was a month rooted in whimsy and wonder — a softening of our plans, and an opening to what might appear.
Reflect & Remember
This final week is short but sweet — the perfect time to gently gather up the threads of this past month and take a moment to reflect.
Here are some Week 5 Reflection Questions to complete this month of Surprise & Delight.
What surprised me most this month — about myself, others, or life?
What brought me unexpected joy?
What small act of creativity or kindness sparked delight for me or someone else?
What do I want to carry with me into the months ahead?
What did I let go of that made more room for joy?
A Final Gentle Challenge: Can you create one last moment of delight — for yourself or someone else — before the month ends?
It could be:
Leaving a note for someone to find
Mailing a postcard or surprise treat
Making yourself a beautiful breakfast
Wearing something whimsical just because
Whatever it is, let it be simple, sincere, and rooted in joy.
Thank you for joining me this month — whether you followed every prompt or simply carried the idea of surprise and delight in your heart. It’s been a gift to share this season with you.
Next month, we’ll turn toward a new rhythm and a fresh invitation. Until then…
