Hello friends,
As we step into August, our new theme invites us to take what we’ve learned from simplicity… and look a little closer.
Noticing is the art of paying attention.
It’s where stillness meets awareness,
and where creativity is born.
We’ll explore what it means to notice with presence—through the senses, through art-making, and through reflection.
We’re gently turning our attention toward noticing—the art of slowing down just enough to see, feel, and connect with the world around (and within) us.
I’ve created two practices — daily invitations to return to what matters most.
✨ A 31-Day Noticing Practice
This is not a to-do list or a task to complete
it’s a gentle rhythm,
a quiet return to presence.
An invitation:
To pause.
To pay attention.
Available below is a full month of prompts—
a soft collection of daily invitations to notice something already present in your life:
a detail in nature,
a moment of stillness,
a connection waiting to be nurtured.
This practice is inspired by the three core pillars of our retreat center:
🧘♀️ Stillness — the quiet space to hear yourself
🎨 Creativity — a form of self-care—explore, play, and rediscover joy.
🤝 Connection — meaningful moments with others and within
Move through the prompts in your own rhythm.
Skip days.
Repeat the ones that speak to you.
There’s no pressure to complete every prompt—
just a gentle invitation to move through the month
with more awareness, softness, and intention.
Let this be a companion—not a checklist.
A quiet guide for noticing your life as it’s unfolding.
✨Morning Pause Practice: “Begin with Noticing”
To ground your day, I invite you to try a simple sensory meditation.
This 5-minute practice will guide you to notice:
five things you see,
four you hear,
three you feel,
two you smell,
and one you taste.
A beautiful way to arrive—fully—in your morning.
You’re Invited: The Kitchen Table Gathering
Friday, August 22 · 6:00–7:30 pm MST
Each month, we gather around the Kitchen Table—a virtual space for meaningful conversation, quiet creativity, and deep connection.
This month, we’ll work with pressed flowers—an invitation to slow down, notice the quiet details, and create something lovely from what nature has already offered. No experience needed—just curiosity and presence.
Come as you are. There’s always a place for you at the table.
✨ A Little Sneak Peek...
Something new is quietly taking shape.
Beginning next month, our retreat center will be known as The Nest—a name that reflects everything this space has grown to be: gentle, grounded, and deeply nurturing.
I’ll be sharing more soon… but for now, just know that you’re already home here.
Looking forward to noticing, creating, and connecting with you all month long.

Thank you Kathy. These suggestions are delightful.
