Hello friends,
Last week, we began our journey into Awakening Possibilities by creating space to pause, reflect, and notice what’s emerging within us.
The invitation was simple: No pressure to act—just observe. Through our Possibility Pause, we explored reflective questions like: What possibility is stirring within me? and If I could remove all obstacles, what would I dare to dream?
As the week unfolded, I found myself hitting a brick wall. Life’s responsibilities—the planning for my mom’s funeral service, my trip to Italy in May, tax season and added family responsibilities, including pet sitting my grand dog Cora—felt overwhelming.
To create mental clarity, I physically organized, placing each major task into its own “basket.” I also made a conscious choice to let go of a photo display idea for my mom’s funeral, recognizing that simplifying brings peace, and peace creates space for new possibilities.
I took this one step further by evaluating other commitments, prioritizing what matters most right now, and temporarily setting aside some activities. I also listened to my body, taking intentional moments to rest when I needed it. These choices—simplifying, prioritizing, and resting—helped me breathe again and reconnect with what feels most meaningful.
One realization stood out: My true desire is to focus on writing, creating, and growing Gather & Pause. That’s where possibilities feel endless. Just acknowledging this helped me breathe again.
I also discovered something unexpected—the shower is my personal possibility portal. Without fail, my best ideas arise there. That sparked a question I now want to ask you:
How do possibilities arrive for you?
Before we move into Week 2, I want to take a moment to give a heartfelt shoutout to one of my creative mentors, Kelly Rae Roberts The Possibilitarian Life with Kelly Rae Roberts . She so graciously gave me permission to use this beautiful photo, and I’m incredibly grateful. Her work is absolutely delightful and endlessly inspiring—you can explore more of her art here.
If you’ve ever dreamed of creating an online offering, I highly recommend Idea to Done, a workshop led by Kelly Rae and her friend Andrea Scher. They guide you through the entire process of bringing your idea to life—thoughtfully and profitably—with unlimited support along the way. I took this workshop in 2023, and it was truly amazing! The next session begins on April 1, 2025.
Week 2: Receiving Possibilities
This week, we’ll explore how inspiration and new ideas find us. Do they arrive in whispers, bold flashes, or as beautiful flowers in a joyful mug? 😊
Do they show up in moments of stillness, movement, or creativity? When we recognize the ways possibility flows into our lives, we can open ourselves to more of it.
🌿 Possibility Pause: Before diving into this week’s reflection, take a moment to pause. Close your eyes, take three deep breaths, and allow yourself to simply be. No pressure, no expectations—just a moment to create space for possibility to emerge.
🌿 Guided Reflection:
Think back to times when new ideas, clarity, or inspiration struck. What were you doing?
Is there a pattern? Do possibilities arrive when you’re journaling, walking, in conversation, or (like me) in the shower?
What small shifts could you make to invite more moments of insight?
🌸 Reflective Questions:
When was the last time I felt a spark of possibility? What was I doing at that moment?
What environments or activities help me feel open to inspiration?
If I created a “possibility ritual,” what would it look like?
📖 Capture It: I invite you to track how and when possibilities arrive throughout the week. This could be in a journal, a voice memo, or even a quick note on your phone. The more we pay attention, the more we can welcome possibility into our lives.
I’d love to hear from you—where do your best ideas find you? Let’s continue the conversation in the comments.

Until next week, have fun as possibilities awaken!

My best ideas come when I’m driving. I do a lot of driving and I drive in silence - which allows me to hear my own voice. Sometimes what comes is creative, which flows into my art; sometimes what comes is practical, as I work out a situation or problem; sometimes it’s visionary, as a new way of doing something in some aspect of my life arises. As I reflected on your question my immediate response was ‘driving’. I am a ponderer and that’s what I do!
again, such a beautifully thought provoking post 🤗
I went on a walk by myself last weekend and I was the only one on the trail the whole time. It was raining and I could hear all the different sounds of rain landing. I realized by standing and soaking in the sound (and wetness, hello west coast rainforest), I was forest bathing. And it was lovely. This was not so much an idea generator, but a moment of welcoming messages into my soul.
